[opensuse] OT: Hoster recommendation
We are a few people with a few private websites and are looking for a reliable hoster. I was not very lucky with a reseller package, because of unknow updates, which made some things broken. At least the hoster couldn't solve it and was unable to do a restore, so it worked as a before. I edited mysql- databases manually and changed permissions, as far as I could do it and got it work again, but not everything. So I am looking for a (shared) hosting with root rights or maybe again for a reseller package. Everything should be unlimited, except diskspace and bandwidth. Or if there is a limitation, I would like to have about 100 domains plus 500 subdomains to get for sure not in limits. There are a lot of (sub)domains who are not used for webservices, like this mail-address, but Actually about 5-10 domains have noticeable traffic. Webspace should be about 5GB, traffic about 50GB, In the last time we had enough with 2500MB webspace and 15GB traffic. Typical sites are photo galleries, where 1 photo is about 200kB. Mailtraffic is very low, because redirection to a freemailer is used. Most of the visitors come from Europe. If bandwidth would be exceeded, there should be _no_ extra costs, but the websites should be closed till the end of the month. Thank you for any recommendation. Private mails are welcome. Looking for a host that uses just suse? We use CentOS but can do more or less the hosting you are looking for. -- Bob Rea mailto:gapetard@stsams.org http://www.petard.us http://www.petard.us/blog http://www.petard.us/gallery Where is Bill Stringfellow now that we really need him? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Opensuse 11.1 would be preferred with VPS, 2nd choice would be Debian. Al -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
