As far as I know the ppp-etc stuff now is integrated in the smpppd package. Have a look on the sdb about how to make the smpppd start automatically. Cheers'n'Merry Christmas ... Hi, Thanks for suggestion. This is about ppp over Ethernet so: " pppoe is a user-space redirector which permits the use of PPPoE (Point-to-Point Over Ethernet) with Linux. PPPoE is used by many ADSL service providers. " But, no message in logs no info nothing about deleting old pppod destroying connection during update - Is this SuSE - I can NOT believe Merry Christmas Julo
