I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with kmymoney. I'm running Suse Personal 9.1. I've install kmymoney off of suse's rpm on their website. Now when I try to run it, it shows in the taskbar as loading for a several seconds, then just goes away. In other words, it don't do nothing! T. Daniel

Try starting it from a command line and see if it gives you any messages. I get the following message: kmymoney: error while loading shared libraries: kmymoney: undefined symbol: _ZN11KMainWindow7setIconERK7QPixmap As a linux newbie, this means little to me. It certainly gives me no clue how to fix it.

As a linux newbie, this means little to me. It certainly gives me no clue how to fix it. It means that version was compiled against a different version kdelibs

You have kde 3.2.1. What version of SuSE? You have an old kde, but the newest kmymoney. You could either install a lot of devel packages and rebuild kmymoney and reinstall, or update your kde. PS. Just reply to the list. I don't need duplicate emails. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871

Oops. Sorry about that. I've been getting sloppy about that lately. Pure laziness on my part. I'll pay more attention in the future. T. Daniel

I guess I was expecting this kind of deficiency to get caught by YaST's RPM installer. Typically when I've installed something, YaST warns me about missing dependencies, and once those have been filled RPMs have run without major problems for me in the past. Oh well, I guess it can't all be super-easy. T. Daniel
Thanks everyone for the help. I've now located the right version for my system, have it installed, so now I can test it to see if it's going to be the right program for me. Thanks again. T. Daniel
