Hi All Has anyone got a Parallel Port Scanner to work with Linux (SuSE 7.1)? If so, would you please tell me how you did it? The basic answer to that is good luck. Sane supports "some" scanners, and some people have managed to cobble together hacks to get a specific parallel port scanner working. Some interesting reading on: http://www.buzzard.org.uk/jonathan/scanners.html and http://slashdot.org/askslashdot/99/01/05/1230210.shtml I have been trying to do the same and have come to the conclusion that I should just go out and get a USB or SCSI scanner. Later C.
