Graphing software for Linux?
Hello Linux folkz, I've got a project at work in which I need to access certain .csv format files with parameters and display these parameters in the form of graphs (Pareto chart, Cum. plot, Corelation, e.t.a) in the browser window (Netscape or M$ Exploder). Could somebody advise me what Linux based graphing software is the best suited for this task? I assume that I can get all these parameters from .csv files by writing script in Perl or JavaScript. But I stuck in finding how to display them graphically in the browser window. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. You don't say what form the "parameters" will be or what method you are going to use to convert them to a graphic file. But, once you have a gif or jpeg you can create an html script using the tag. Perhaps a gnuplot scrip can accept your 'parameters' as parameters and generate a grapic file. Hi Alex, Have a look at the Ploticus site. There are a number of examples shown and the code used to produce the graphs. I find the program quite good for producing graphs directly from the output of database reports in PNG, GIF, EPS or Postscript formats.. http://www.sgpr.net/doc/Welcome.html Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------- On 30-Jan-2001 Alex Daniloff wrote:
