Hi SLErs!
I sent this question a couple of days ago but didn't got any answer so I take
another try.
I'm trying to set a connection server for my forthcoming ADSL connection but
meanwhile I had to use it with my current 56k modem. Everything is well
configured, wvdial dials correctly but pppd die with this error:
Jan 12 22:46:40 Nux pppd[693]: /usr/lib/passwordfd.so: undefined symbol: chap_passwd_hook
Jan 12 22:40:40 Nux pppd[693]: Couldn't load plugin /usr/lib/passwordfd.so
Does someone can helps?? This problem bothers me and I need to find the
solution.
TIA...

probably not much help, but I had that when I was trying to set up wvdial/diald.. during this process I ended up reloading the ppp package and the error disappeared..... Pete On Mon, 15 Jan 2001, Jean-François Bocquet wrote:

What kind of ppp are you using? /usr/lib/passwordfd.so belongs to ppp package. I have ppp-2.3.11-97 on my 6.4 system (it's an update from SuSE ftp site) and see no problems using it. -Kastus
