Hi, I am trying to configure some servers for HTTP access using apache2 in Suse8.2. I've installed all (I think:) necessary packages for apache2... But when i try to do: $ apache2ctl start An error appears: httpd2: could not open document config file /etc/apache2/suse_loadmodule.conf I have checked, the file doesn't exist... Why? Am I forgotting something? some Yast modules thing? Another thing: Is it better (in terms of security, access time and response time) to use apache (1.x.x) or apache2 ? Thanks in advance, Tiago Lima

It seems that it's best to use # rcapache2 start to start apache2 or configure it to start with YaST. Amongst other things, it creates /etc/apache2/suse_loadmodule.conf for you. -- JDL Non enim propter gloriam, diuicias aut honores pugnamus set propter libertatem solummodo quam Nemo bonus nisi simul cum vita amittit.
