[opensuse] Creating Live USB w/o trashing the USB stick?
I want to make a LiveUSB openSUSE stick. I have one from an earlier version (11.3). This is a 4G stick, so it was resized, and now there is a second partition containing various bits of data. If I use the dd_rescue command suggested in the documentation to burn the ISO, I will effectively trash the stick and all the data on it. Also, there is the matter of the system trying to re-partition itself on the first boot. And yes, I can restore from backup etc., but that's extra fuss. And it seems silly to trash full 4G of space just because I need 1G for a live USB. Is there a simple way to get around this?
