What's wrong with "pkg-config systemd --variable=systemdsystemunitdir" as suggested by the same link in the same paragraph? :)

On 13.2, it says "/usr/lib/systemd/system", on 12.3 is says nothing. I guess "/usr/lib/systemd/system" is okay - I was just thinking a local place would be better, we tend not to take backups of system locations.
