Is there a good how-to to installing Mailman on Postfix and Apache2 on 9.0
Follow the instructions in /usr/share/doc/packages/mailman;
I follow the instruction, also on INSTALL file on downloaded mailman tarball, make the changes to my default-server.conf, but i still cannot access through the web page. Edwin

You shouldn't need to download mailman; it should come on the SuSE disks. Have you got apache up and running? -- David Smith Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com STMicroelectronics Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk Bristol, England GPG Key: 0xF13192F2
Yes, I used the mailman from SuSE disks. And my Apache2 is up and running. When I made the newlist for the first time it looks like an error. I thought it because of python. So I also install the python-devel and reinstall the process. But it still cannot made up. Any suggestion? On Wed, Aug 25, 2004 at 11:14:57PM +0700, M Edwin wrote:

What error are you getting? I think I got mine working under Apache rather than Apache2; perhaps there's some difference there? -- David Smith Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com STMicroelectronics Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk Bristol, England GPG Key: 0xF13192F2

When I looked to README on mailman it said that it is because I didn't install the python-devel so I installed it. I also set the cgi-gid=www and mail-gid=nobody. In the server I also have openwebmail install so maybe there are a problem in gid. In Apache2 config file I just point to include the default mailman.conf. The owner of /var/lib/mailman and /usr/lib mailman is root.mailman and the permission is 02775 I still working on it, any suggestion? Edwin
