Strange Kernel messages in /var/log
Does anyone know what these log entries mean. I just noticed them after I installed KDE3. They seem to happen when I use Konq3..because I close Konq when I noticed them and used Mozilla for about 30 minutes and in that time I didn't see any entries, but as soon as I fired Konq3 back up and used it for a bit..they came back. Could it be an nVidia issue..as far as graphics call? I'm not a kernel guru by far. Thanks, -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- "I've never been quarantined. Excuse me. But what on God's green Earth does your RAID box have to do with the question I ask. Please do not hit reply on a message and change it. You should start another thread to do this. Can you show us one of these messages? Seems you forgot *g* -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A. P. J.

The listed vortex.txt is interesting...this might even be caused by another host segment that is trying to do full duplex when your network is actually half duplex. -- -ckm
Ok..I'll hunt down what's going on. I guess since it's not a life threating issue with the the machine/kernel that will cause it to die. I'm alright. It's my workstation in the office. I have no choice what to use. Heck, I would never buy one of these POS Compaqs for myself. :) I could always overspend and get an Apple. ;) * matthew johnson (matthew@psychohorse.com) [020404 14:24]: ::Yes get an Intel ;P -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- "I've never been quarantined. When you get that Apple, make sure to put SuSE PPC edition on it. :-)
