I hope someone will know what "this one" is. :) I can play audio CDs in my Plextor CD burner. I upgraded from 7.3 to 8.0, and expected all to be the "same" as before......not quite. I can read data CDs. But I get an error when trying to read data to copy a data CD. In fact, XCDRoast can't even see any data on the CD, and reports that the drive is empty. NO other CD burn software will work either. ALL is well with the drive, except burn software! As far as I can tell, all of my settings are in tact. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks, Fred -- Geek by Nature--Linux By Choice!

Et tu Fred? Well almost, just tried KonCD and it crashed on me after setting priviledges to said CD device. Now is working visually... Koncd does not work? Have you tried running from terminal with sux? I'll have to play with it more...Using CD device to listen to the Four Seasons, will try writing later.
