Hi,
Having a bit of trouble. I've un-installed KDE so that I can install KDE2, but now when I try to install I get an error at the end of the file install says install failure. This all started when there was a very brief power failure as I was in the un-install process. Could they be related? And how do I fix it?

Just last night I battled with this problem, and I remembered a message on yhis list recommending uninstalling the KDE2 coming together with SuSE 7.0, so that's what I did. However, I didn't succeed in uninstalling all of KDE2. I simply deleted /opt/kde2. Then - and thats important - open yast1 | Choose/Install packages | Install Packages You see nothing in that window. Hit return and you'll get the posibility of entering the folder that contains your updates. Cheers, Niels
