Suse 9.2 Java Issues? Random crashes..
Is anybody else getting random crashes from Java programs? Eclipse for example crashes randomly all the time, and so does Azureus. No other programs do this, just Java based programs. Strange thing though, they work fine under Gnome, but not KDE. Any ideas? Michael
hello, i use eclipse a lot on 9.2, fine azureus 24/24 fine too. note the java rpm has been updated since 9.2 release, still 1.4.2, but with a security fix. paul. Lord Jester wrote:

Strange thing though, they work fine under Gnome, but not KDE. A while back I was doing some serious work with Java both using Netbeans and Eclipse on my laptop. Since Randall seems to be running fine, possibly you might have a corrupted JVM or possibly GTK library.
If possible, you might try to download Netbeans and try to get it to crash.

Nope, using NetBeans all day long with no problems, also running Tomcat-based web apps on four different SUSE servers at work with no problems.
