Mount point busy, fuser doesn't help

I have a problem with a hung network mount point; "mount" shows it's mounted, but I can't unmount it because it's busy. Supposedly fuser will tell me what process has grabbed it, but fuser itself simply hangs, with no response at all, when I call it. (All this is done as root.) The fuser calls I've tried are: fuser /home/srv/mnt1 fuser -m /home/srv/mnt1 where /home/srv/mnt1 is the mount point as revealed by the "mount" command". This is happening under SuSE 9.2. Any suggestions? Paul
