(SuSE 9.1 running KDE 3.2.1) With "KWrite", a DOS-format text cannot be saved as UNIX-format, even though, the option (in "Open/Save" section) is set correctly. It was right in RedHat (KDE 3.0). Is there any comments? Thank you for your notice, Bahram Alinezhad, Rudehen, Tehran, Iran. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I'm still on 8.2/3.1.1 (hopefully that'll change soon). In Kwrite on my system the line-ending is changed under "Tools" -> "End Of Line" not in "Open/Save".

Unless things changed a lot between KDE 3.1 and 3.2 I'd think You've been looking in the wrong place... HTH /Jon -- Just say "know!"

Hi, I'm on 9.1 Pro now (with KDE 3.3.0), and the place has been described is still correct, so just look into 'Tools' -> 'End Of Line' ... Kind regards, Peli
