How do I setup Evolution to receive system mail???
I had this setup before my upgrade, but no I've forgot how to do it. I have myself as an alias to root in /etc/aliases, but now I want to setup Evolution to receive system mail that is supposed to go to root. I can't remember how to do it. Any thoughts? If root's mail goes to you, then you need to create a mail account that uses your mbox spool as it's mail source -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0). Plenty to be thankful for eh? :) Same way you'd set up any other mail account, except instead of specifying a POP or IMAP server, you specify local mbox spool -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0). I'm getting closer here. Do I need to create the mbox account? I looked under /var/spool/mail and nothing's there. Tom

Nothing? You do mean root's mail on your local machine don't you? Or do you mean on the server you download your mail from already? -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0). I am still somewhat new to Linux and was wondering how I could use a terminal program to talk to a router I have hooked up on my serial port I am needing to work on? What commands do I use to connect to a Comm port? Thanks, Roy

Try to use "minicom" for the first time, start minicom as root with: # minicom -s and configure it. Then start it as user without "-s". -- Andreas

Try minicom. It is on the cds/dvd, and is a very nice terminal program -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM. I say, by the grace of God, I am what I am.
