Where i can set the permission to permit to all user to make up and
down
an internet connection by modem WITHOUT qinternet or ecc.. I would to use ifup ppp0 and ifdown ppp0 I tried with +s in /sbin/ifup and/or /sbin/ifdown but nothing.....
Add them to group "dialout" might help. And don't forget to remove the setuid bit on ifup and ifdown. -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogical, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A. ifup has to read /etc/sysconfig/network/providers/ which is only allowed for root per default. Why not use cinternet? The program is designed for your purpose. ciao Arvin
