How do I see a computer on my network FROM the SuSE Linux system? If I run my GUI and open Konqueror then type the same stuff I do for my Windows systems in the address bar (i.e. \\server\data) I get sent to the Google search page because it can't find it. Do I have to mount the directory I want? Like mapping a drive in Windows? TIA Greg Hicks
Linneighborhood is what i use and have used for almost 2 years now http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/ its a good little network browser. you can get konq to do this, but i have never tried (involves the lisa daemon or something like that?) On Thursday 25 April 2002 03:29 pm, Greg Hicks wrote:

Make sure your /etc/samba/smb.conf is correct. Switch your '\'s for '/'s. In Konqueror smb://server/data/ HTH Jon
