I understand that there is a HOWTO that tells one how to load Windows, OS2 and Linux on the same system, using the OS2 boot manager. I can't find it. I would appreciate it if someone would send me the title to the HOWTO. Thanks Dennis J. Tuchler Professor of Law 3700 Lindell Blvd. St. Louis, Mo. 63108 314-977-2793

You want to use the OS/2 boot manager as the primary boot tool? Then its easy to do but all OS's have to have their initial pieces below the 1024 limit. Boot mgr won't go above the line like grub will. Just place LILO on your linux partition rather than in the MBR. Simple as that. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S. I thought there was a way around that 1024 cylinder limit; something having to do with the bios .... Dennis J. Tuchler Professor of Law 3700 Lindell Blvd. St. Louis, Mo. 63108 314-977-2793

Lilo use to have issues with this but no longer. If you are running SuSE 7.1 and above then you should be able to have lilo boot NT, OS/2 and Linux with no problems at all. You should post how you have your machine layed out and the list can help you lay out your lilo.conf so that you have a choice of what you wish to boot. :) -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "Technological progress is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal" -AE
