Hi all... I have a shell account with a system in the States. I do not have root permisson on this system. Is there any way I can set up a cron (or cron-like) job so that this system will email me a file? What I want to do is have this other system send me a file once a day as an attachment. Then delete the file and set up a new empty file. Thanks JIM -- Jim Hatridge Linux User #88484 ------------------------------------------------------ BayerWulf Linux System # 129656 The Recycled Beowulf Project Looking for throw-away or obsolete computers and parts to recycle into a Linux super computer

Well, you could just try it and see (crontab -e), otherwise you'll have to contact the sysadmin at the site and ask if its possible. HTH, jalal -- GPG fingerprint = 3D45 5509 D380 26A4 523E A9D8 A66A 5F38 CA43 BB0E
