Compiling vsftpd - make install bug?
Hi all, I have just downloaded and compiled vsftpd. By the way, there must be a mistake in the make file, as it does not install! When I try to install it I got an installation script as an output, but nothing moves. I am not an expert in make files, and I running that script by hand, but it should really be the correct behaviour? Praise
Why not try the RPM that Mads made? It's in /pub/people/mmj :) * Praise (praisetazio@tiscalinet.it) [011201 10:17]: ->Hi all, -> ->I have just downloaded and compiled vsftpd. Are you trying to install as a user or root? Did you look at the Makefile to make sure the install directories are correct for your system?

I am trying to install it as root, and Makefile's dir are correct. Btw, now that I have seen that there is a suse rpm available, I think I will give it a try:-) Praise
