-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Ok, now were back to the alsa/arts kludgyness we had back in earlier version (aka 7.x series). First I couldn't get any sound. Tried YaST to install and config, install then remove - start from scratch, blah blah. Then I got it working using alsaconf and the weird part is that the initial settings used in YaST to set the extout/extin, buffer size, synth voices, and synth ports stayed.... (huhhh???). Now none of my games have sound and output from artscat, etc leads me to believe that it's trying to set to a defunct localhost network socket??? Anyone know what's up with the 9.1 sound systems.... I also think that perhaps I have multiple Unique hardware id's and this might also be part of the problem. But I forgot how to cat that directory to single out the sound card id from all the others and then delete them and start from scratch. Hello Andreas, or....? TIA, Curtis. - -- Spammers Beware: Tresspassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again! Warning: Individuals throwing objects at the crocodiles will be asked to retrieve them!
