What's wrong with Munchenbuntu? Much as I don't like it, Gnome seems to be the default gui for linux as a whole, and windows migrations especially. As far as I can make out, it's nothing to do with that anyway. It sounds like the decision has come from the politicians, and the IT guys have been told "make it happen". All being well, when they go back to the politicians and say "you need to double our budget" common sense will prevail. you can trust Microsoft to do like for the french war minister: they give all: computer, software, management for a small fee but when you renew the contract, 5 years on, you notice that the price is 30% more and you don't have a choice: you have no more IT group, all your doc is on M$ cloud... very dangerous jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It was actually a kickback. https://news.microsoft.com/de-de/presskits/zuknftige-deutschland-zentrale-mi... Microsoft did open the central offices for Germany. So these are a lot of Taxes and of local working places. The CSU is a sectorial lobby party that is not electible in Germany but in Bavaria (in a political exchange with the CDU that for this, does not present in Bavaria). The party is notorious for bending to lobbies, has a history of one of their leaders being involved in heavy cases of arms traffiking with Israel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulzHhRUM9Ew So, there is nothing new and this is not a problem with Linux but expression of the lack of alternative an political corruption. The governing mayor in fact, is of the SPD (socialists) that governed for 40 Years (but only!) the city of Munich. Recently they lost majority and with this decision the mayor can be sure and certain that this is the last time the SPD is going to lead Munich. And I guess he knew that ... and acted maybe accordingly? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, and as a result Linxu comes away looking weak and difficult to use and hard to find stuff in. LXDE would have been a better choice. At least stuff is easy to find, faster, and cuts the cross training time. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
