[opensuse] repos changing name, disappearing, wtf!
download.opensuse.org, en.opensuse.org were down but now appear to be back. http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/php:/applications/openSUSE... is gone, at least openSUSE_11.2 portion http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Backports:/2.30/openSUSE_11... is empty http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Apache:/Modules/Apache_openSUSE_11... is gone, but there is now: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Apache:/Modules/openSUSE_11.2/ are they the same? what is happening? If this is to be, then we need a central location where these changes are announced and a searchable history maintained. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Seems to be back.

"Central location" doesn't scale because it's up to each project maintainer to change things. So the needs to be in the project. Having said that, the changes in the project are already versioned: osc log server:php:applications --meta Nothing is displayed, i.e. the project didn't change. Hi, I can speak for Apache:Modules: Seems to be an error in the build service (or missing files on the download server). The repositories should be there. Build service actually claims they should be there itself. And that the packages are built and published. % osc meta prj Apache:Modules | grep 11.2 | grep repository <enable repository="Apache_openSUSE_11.2"/> <enable repository="openSUSE_11.2"/> <repository name="Apache_openSUSE_11.2"> <path repository="openSUSE_11.2" project="Apache"/> <repository name="openSUSE_11.2"> <path repository="standard" project="openSUSE:11.2"/> I don't think that anyone changed that.
what is happening?
Something seems to be wrong on the download server or in the publishing process.

I agree on that. Peter
