I just got a Treo650 to replace my old Palm and cell phone.
A note that came with the Treo was not to sync with the with older versions
of the sync software. Since I am a 100% Linux user, I would like to know
has anyone else synced a Treo 600 or Treo 650 using the sync software on
Linux (eg. jpilot or kpilot or gnomepilot)?

Jerry, Sorry no one has replied, I wish I could answer this but I'm thinking about moving off my blackberry that cannot sync with Linux, to a Treo650 and was hoping it would sync. I have tested an old handspring and it worked very well. I've contacted the kde PIM group and I'll let you know what I find out.....joe On Tue, 2005-02-08 at 13:24 -0500, Jerry Feldman wrote:

Some people have successfully synced with SuSE 9.2. I have not, but there is
a patch to the visor module. (/usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/serial/visor.c).
The patch adds the TRE650 id (0x0061) to the table.
I added it to visor.c, built and installed the module, but it still does not
recognize the treo.
The guy who posted the patch is using a 2.6.9 kernel, where 9.2 is
2.6.8-24.11.
