Folks, I tried compiling some code that uses GLUT and it failed because GLUT seems to be gone. I tried installing GLUT myself but it requires OpenGL. Since GL seems to be already installed by SuSE I did not want to mix things up... Question, what is the correct thing to do? Is GLUT obsolete now? Thanks for your help. Hi Mike,
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked my system and in
fact it seems freeglut was already installed.
The problem is both my code and the freeglut_Std.h
header files try to include GL/gl.h and GL/glu.h
which are nowhere to be found.
Any ideas where to look?
Thanks,
Babu

If a compilation is telling you the name of a library or header file you need go to: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/2/simple/2 paste the name in, tick your current distribution of Suse and search for the RPM that contains it.
