Hi All I installed Rhythmbox-xine from usr-local-bin, it also asked to install libmusicbrainz, what I did. However when I try to start the program , I get " Rhytmbox (process 5736) has crashed. ( segmentation fault). Starting from CLI gives me: billy@linux:~> rhythmbox Benchmarking memcpy methods (smaller is better): glibc memcpy() : 1551246015 linux kernel memcpy() : 1596220747 MMX optimized memcpy() : 1508019757 MMXEXT optimized memcpy() : 987041190 SSE optimized memcpy() : 999007017 billy@linux:~> and the "Rhythmbox crashed" comes up again. I googled for it but couldn't find anything. Anybody knows a reason or solution for this? SuSE 9.0 -- Greetings from /bill at 169 west , 19 south. When the gnome-segv window pops up, may I suggest allowing it to file a bug report (cos I've not seen it do this) -- James Ogley, UNIX Systems Administrator, Pinnacle Insurance Plc james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 (0) 20 8731 3619 www.pinnacle.co.uk Personal: james@rubberturnip.org.uk www.rubberturnip.org.uk Updated GNOME packages for SUSE LINUX: www.usr-local-bin.org

OK I'll do that. Come to think of it, could it have anything to do with the fact that I can't run Gnome on my computer? All relevant Gnome ( from the SuSE 9.0 disk) are installed .AFAIK. But when I choose "Gnome" from the login , KDE comes up. -- Greetings from /bill at 169 west , 19 south. Disclaimer: Any errors in spelling, tact, or fact are transmission errors."
