Anyone know why Suse mixes all the ssl stuff right in the middle of the Virtual host configuration. It is by far the most confusing httpd.conf I hav seen, but maybe there is a good reason for it. What version of SuSE; 6.3?
The Apache that is shipped with SuSE supports SSL? which one is used
SSLeary? Can it be used for in a commerical envoirment?
If it is a full SSL compliant and can be used in a commerical envoriment,
the only other thing it would need is a certifaction by a thrid party server
right? What do those run at?

Not sure, what do the tags look like? Maybe XYZ virtual host needs SSL, while ABC host does not need any SSL at all. Host by host usage of SSL maybe? Jack

I hadn't looked at httpd.conf before, it's impressive, one size fits all. The reason for having the ssl stuff in a virtual host is that it only applies to port 443 so that you have an ssl and normal server in one, SOP. I like all of the <if>...</if>'s, I had begun to think that I was the only one who bothered with them. /Michael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Dunno much about ssl, but I set up all my virtual hosts and all is well. I ended the virtual hosts before most of the ssl stuff, and commented out the last </VirtualHost>. Mine stops right after this: # VirtualHost example: Are there any bad implications to doing it this way? Thanks. Michael Salmon wrote:
