Either use a multi-channeled card, or play everything through Artsd or esd. Charles -- "Are [Linux users] lemmings collectively jumping off of the cliff of reliable, well-engineered commercial software?" (By Matt Welsh)
Hello Charles,

How do I use artsd? (art sound driver?) arts is installed.. at preferences->sound->sound server it says that the arts soundserver is started with KDE Are there some settings that I should change? Or is it only a problem with xmms perhaps.. --Kees

For programs that doesn't support artsd natively start the program with artsdsp. For example: artsdsp xmms Charles -- "I once witnessed a long-winded, month-long flamewar over the use of mice vs. trackballs...It was very silly." (By Matt Welsh)

Yes I use that sometimes :-) But it did not help with xmms. But.... I found an Arts plugin for xmms and now it works! http://www.xmms.org/download.html Thanks for your time! --Kees

Thanks for the info, since I don't use artsd (I have a multi-channelled card) I didn't know that xmms doesn't work with artdsp.

I am glad that that plugin is being maintained again. I believe it was broken for a while there. Charles -- There are no threads in a.b.p.erotica, so there's no gain in using a threaded news reader. (Unknown source)
