Re: [SuSE Linux] Diamon Stealth 3D 4000
Best performance will be with the next version of AccelX, of course 4.1 supports that card now. I think that SuSE's X-servers support AGP in some flavours. Have you checked <A HREF="http://www.suse.de/XSuSE/XSuSE_E.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.de/XSuSE/XSuSE_E.html</A">http://www.suse.de/XSuSE/XSuSE_E.html ?
By next release do you mean 4.2? I have 4.1 on order and of course there are patches to bring it up to 4.1. I didn't find the link real useful. The packages I downloaded from there are older then the ones available under SuSE 5.2 update directory on their ftp.suse.com site. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

I'm not sure, but the CDE/OS they sell has an upgraded 4.2.1 version in it, with every board I could think of at the time. AGP, PCI and 16bit, etc. Also every monitor. I use a Matrox Millenium I w/8megs (220Mhz RAMDAC), with a ViewSonic G800. (I see 1600X1200 w/16M colors no problem.) It was just a nice to see all the named options for monitors and cards. I have been told by Xi that have a new version of the display managers and also motif coming soon.
