You seem to be failing to get this file ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/update/7.3/patches/ you-3
Try this, but I don't know if it will work: Download that file from the command line. Then run your online update and choose Expert. Select the directory on the Hard Disk you have download you-3 to. Try to install.
Then try to do YOU (Yast Online Update) again.
The other thing is: 3184 Can't open /var/lib/YaST/patches/i386/update/7.3/patches/english.pkd

IN my case, with 8.0, I select the online update from yast2, a window opens, a small second window opens saying it is getting a list of servers then both close and that is it. Any suggestions? Scott

It's work after I updated you-3. Gosh after 5 months of blank update, now it's downloading!!! I really appreciate your help.
