Hey Group; I am looking for a image viewer that works like Compupic did. Photdex has abandoned the linux version. I have tried several of the linux KDE, gnome viewers and notice they seem to lack the whole directory function as thumbnail images like Compupic. I would like to view a directory like Konquerer views directories and files This function is very handy for finding a suitable xpm or etc. to use as a pull down menu image Any good viewer to try in SuSE? -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org " http://counter.li.org " #279316
Don, A couple of things you might try (if you haven't alread). I find Gqview very useful for previewing images I might want to use as backdrops. It gives you a preveiw column on the left side of its window tha allows you to scroll down a batch of thumbnails. Also, the file manager with XFCE (xffm) will display small thumbnails in a Nautilus-like window. You might try either one of those... http://packman.links2linux.org/?action=152 gqview-1.3.4-0.pm.0.i586.rpm I've been using the above version for quite sometime. The 1.3.x series is 10x better then the 1.2 "stable" version. I've had no issues with the 1.3.x series..I rather like it alot. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===--- #147972 ---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.
