Trying to install 9.3 Pro on a Sony PCG-GRT360ZG laptop and it keeps saying no drive is found. I look over boot.msg and it says the drive is found but with a CHS of 0/0/55. Anyone know how to specify the CHS during boot? Thank you, Brad Dameron SeaTab Software www.seatab.com

Assuming you don't care about the drive, I would try to wipe out the boot sector. Sounds like it is corrupt to me. Boot the install CD/DVD to rescue mode, then "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda count=1" should do it. If you want to wipe the whole drive leave of the count=1 part. Then do a "sync" and cycle power to boot back to the CD and restart your install. Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century
