Anyone know of a "modem-lights" type of applet that I can use in KDE2 to monitor my internet connection. I find that when installing software by ftp using yast1, I cannot tell the status of my connection - slow, fast, etc. Thanks David

One thing that you might want to keep in mind about gkrellm is that there are plug-in modules that you might want to install (weather and SNMP come to mind, for me). While there is an RPM that SuSE has for gkrellm, you will most likley have to install additional stuff in order to compile the add-in modules. Therefore, you might want to install it from source. YMMV. Whichever route you take, I'd put money on you liking gkrellm. It has a LOT of functionality in a small space. Regards, Geordon
