-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I was on Packman's site & d/l the Video-DVDRip & the one dep that was listed. After installing the dep curl pkg & starting on the rip program I got a long list out of YaST which I am having trouble deciphering since I am still relatively new to all that stuff. What was weird is that curl was the only listed dep so how can the statement at the bottom of the page indicating there may be more deps be correct?? The YaST output appears below. Any help interpreting would be very much appreciated. l#### YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2004-03-26 22:24:00 #### libfame-0.9.so.0 not available Required by: transcode requires libfame-0.9.so.0 Conflict Resolution: ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies libfame not available Required by: transcode requires libfame >= 0.9.0- Conflict Resolution: ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies rar not available Required by: Video-DVDRip requires rar >= 2.7.1- Conflict Resolution: ( ) Remove the Conflicting Package Do Not Install Video-DVDRip ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies subtitleripper not available Required by: Video-DVDRip requires subtitleripper >= 0.3- Conflict Resolution: ( ) Remove the Conflicting Package Do Not Install Video-DVDRip ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies transcode 0.6.12-0.pm.2 conflict Required by: Video-DVDRip requires transcode >= 0.6- Unresolved Requirements: transcode requires libfame >= 0.9.0- transcode requires libfame-0.9.so.0 Conflict Resolution: ( ) Remove the Conflicting Package Do Not Install Video-DVDRip ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies Video-DVDRip 0.50.16-0.pm.0 conflict Unresolved Requirements: Video-DVDRip requires subtitleripper >= 0.3- Video-DVDRip requires rar >= 2.7.1- Conflict Resolution: ( ) Do Not Install Video-DVDRip ( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies #### YaST2 conflicts list END ### - -- ...CH Avoid doing business with 'The Link' ISP. Download the rpms or source packages (and build your own rpms if you want) and install them before you install Video-DVDRip. If you have or get the rpms for transcode, subtitleripper, fame, and Video-DVDRip you can install them all at once provided that you don't have other unmet requirements. But basically, YaST2 is saying you need some packages that it can't find and wants to know if you want to continue or not. John p.s. Download the tarballs and build your own rpms using checkinstall if you can't find the rpms. checkinstall can be installed using YaST2. ~ Visit the website (http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/) for info on how to use. It's painless. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFAaHn55JB+bPW3+KwRAqMAAJ9XWPaz90sQvDvFWsMNAukEvRJh/gCfWyZ8 FqhsVylH+S6Hqmu3+gHIYPk= =A4my -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
