Hi: After I updated to KDE 2.1.1 (the 8 April edition), the search functions in my SuSE data Base (large life preserver) and the KDE data base (small life preserver) no longer work. Has any one been able to solve this? TIA -- Cheers, Jonathan
Jonathan,

Have you tried enabling AA in this version of KDE 2.1.1? I'm curious if the 4/08 update repaired the DCOP error caused when the Anti-Aliasing is enabled via the KDE Style Control Panel. I have AA fonts enabled through the CC panel (have since it was offered) and I just checked the search function..it works. I am running the April 8th Edition ..I updated it Friday. Any input from actual SuSE people about these issues? -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.

Well I had problems with the AA option in suse 7.1 KDE 2.1.1. it gave me all kinds of errors when I enabled it ,KDE was totally un useable. so I reinstalled the latest build (that didn't work) so then I deleted all my TTF's and copyed all my win98 TTF to my linux dir and it worked had no more errors but had to set all the fonts under the CC because it would default to allegro also had to set the browser and file manager fonts too. So somewhere I must have had corrupted TTF's. Chuck

Tim: I enabled AA fonts and I really don't seee any change. I have QT 2.3 installed. If I look at at letters in Kmail they are not anti aliased. I am not too woried as I suspect this will be fixed in the next release. -- Cheers, Jonathan
