[opensuse] Testing pattern dependencies
Hello, I'm trying to make my own patterns for add them on the DVD. I'm resolving the dependencies by hand but I would like to know if there is some way to test a pattern (with zypper or something else) before adding it to the openSUSE installation source. Thanks. -- Samuel Partida Amores ----------------------------------- samuel.partida@gmail.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Patrick, isn't that like using rpm -q --whatprovides or -q
--requires ? That's not what I'm searching for.
I'm would like to make a pattern and check its dependencies against
the media repository so I could add the needed packages.
Thanks.

similar, but rpm requires access to existing packages, installed or on disk whereas smart checks your configured repositories which I thought was your intention. ps: this full quoting and top/bottom posting makes a mess, doesn't it :^) -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That's a solution... I'm thinking if it is possible to do the same with zypper, in case it were not, I will try Smart.

Yes, sorry, there is people who do top post and others who do bottom post so I just don't mind... is bottom top the right thing?
