hi all, I have a problem with my Suse 8.1 routing. I have a server with two network cards, one connected to LAN ( 192.168.0.5) and the other is connected to ISP (192.168.3.150 , Gateway 192.168.3.1) I've done : ... echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward at this time I can route to internet from server , but when I set my client gateway's IP to 192.168.0.5 they could not connec to internet , they cannot ping 192.168.3.1 also. iptable --list tell that every thing is accepted , (I have no firewall yet) any guid?? thanks, mohammad

Just because iptables is accepting everything, it doesn't mean that it's forwarding packets between the networks. You'd be best off installing a firewalling script such as Shorewall, or at least using SuSE's built-in firewalling via YaST. You'll have to use IP Masquerading in order to use the internet with your internal machines. HTH. -- Preston Kutzner
