Hi, Is there a utility to export a Kmail folder and subfolders to a format that can be imported to Outlook? I don't know if such a utility exists, but you might want to check here: http://kmail.kde.org/tools.html Good luck! Carl

Using an intermediate imap server, for instance, and exportint there first. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFELGIhtTMYHG2NR9URAlRyAJ0fBx7GzEnBMXFVDVwGUp+9B61GgwCeJKVu sGA3OMEBgONBN71a0Dgdrzs= =2SlC -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I don't know about directly, but it's a simple matter to set up an imap server on a Linux box and connect both mail clients to it. Then it's simply a matter of copying the mail over.

That sounds like sage advice. I did a quick google on this and found some kludgy methods, none of which seemed perfect. That's the best thing about this solution, it's bi-directional. -- Michael James michael.james@csiro.au System Administrator voice: 02 6246 5040 CSIRO Bioinformatics Facility fax: 02 6246 5166 No matter how much you pay for software, you always get less than you hoped. Hi, Thank you all for your replies and comments. For the record I personally am not downgrading to Outlook. The reason for the question is that I was working on a contract for a small company and needed to transfer my email directory associated with that project to someone who uses Outlook. Note that sometime after this posting I checked the kde-linux mail archive. According to a posting on the kde-linux mail archive Outlook Express should be able to import the email directories directly. http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-linux&m=107002316128963&w=2 Therefore I just handed over the directory as it is and have not heard anything back yet as to whether or not the directory was imported into Outlook or not. I do not have the capability of testing it myself. Thanks again for your replies. On Thursday 30 March 2006 22:11, kai wrote:
