Hello SuSE people, Running 9.2 64 bit, KDE 3.4.1a When the system was installed it used the xorg.conf file. I installed a new LCD Monitor and set it up with Yast. Yast set it up in XF86Conf. Seems to be OK but every once in awhile I seem to have funny little conflicts in X. Is my setup actually using both xorg and XF86 ? I am having trouble with my login screen rendering properly. Don't know if this is related or not. In trying to resolve that I found this kdm.log. I have included the last few lines here and I am not sure if it is even pertinent. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Current Operating System: Linux EasyStreet 2.6.8-24.16-default #1 Thu Jun 2 12:09:57 UTC 2005 x86_64 Build Date: 28 January 2005 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.X.Org to make sure that you have the latest version. I don't think so, I get similar messages because the fonts are not there. I upgraded my daughter's box from a monitor to a LCD, ran sax2, in this case with a NVidia card "sax2 -m 0=nvidia" and she has had no problems in the last 7 months with SuSE 9.2.
