[opensuse] x11vnc connenction, continous refreshing
Hello: Previously I frequently used x11vnc in an openSUSE 11.2 system from another oS 11.2 system. That is I logged in from my guest system to the host via ssh, started x11vnc server on the host, and vncviewer on the guest. It always worked well. Recently I have replaced the host to openSUSE 12.1, the guest is still oS 11.2. I can login to the host via ssh and can start x11vnc on the host, even can open vnc terminal on the guest by vncviewer, but the image is continously refreshing. I get the screen image of the host display, then it becomes black, then screen image, then black etc. I use the very same commands as before. Any idea how I could fix this or find the cause? It's the monitor screen saver kicking in. See "-ndpms" in "man x11vnc" Jim -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Jim Oops, that should be "-nodpms" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you, I guess your're right, it is probably the screen saver. I will try --nodpms. (I could not test it yet because when I tried last time the screen sever on the host wasn't active.)
