No, I dont have a problem setting the clock if you was thinking that. :P My problem is, the clock has become "strange" after i installed SuSE 6.4.. It has become fast.. it goes ahead 2 hrs.. so I have to set the clock every hour, I have tried setting the time zone and local time but it doesnt seem to work.. the battery isnt empty.. anyone have suggestions ? Do..... hwclock --date [time - format is 00:00:00] --set hwclock --show hwclock --debug hwclock --test hwclock --hctosys [set the hardware clock in accordance with the hardware clock] hwclock --systohc [set the hardware clock in accordance with the system time] See also.... man hwclock. Hi list, hi webster! I had a similar problem some weeks ago. Every time I had booted the system, the systemtime was correct, but the hardwaretime wasn't. I deleted /etc/adjtime and the problem was solved. May be this trick works for you too?
