Changing scsi module used in newly installed 8.0
Hi everyone, I have just installed 8.0 on an AMD K6-III system with an Adaptec 2940uw scsi controller for the sys DASD (hard disks). During install I had to use the manual option because using the new AIC7880 module hangs the machine; so I selected the OLD AIC-7880 scsi module to start the install process, which worked just fine; all OK so far. The entire install finished perfectly, and the new 8.0 is awesome! But when I did a fresh power off-on re-boot, the installed sys tried to use the NEW AIC-7880 module; so I booted off the CD-1 and used the Manual option to "Boot installed system" after loading the OLD AIC-7880 module. Now the question that has me baffled: How can I modify the installation to use the OLD AIC-7880 scsi Module? I have looked all over the "Control Center" but no avail. Have I overlooked something? First you should put the scsi module you want into the initrd.
Edit /etc/sysconfig/kernel and put it into INITRD_MODULES.
