Is there problems with Yast configureing modems in 9.1? I have tried an old ISA USR and a newer PCI. Yast didn't recognise either one.... B-)

Was it a Winmodem? Also if it is PCI link modem to ttyS4 cd /dev ln -s ttyS4 modem You will also need to change the permissions on pppd to u+s or 4755. 73 de Donn Washburn aka N5XWB
The first one was a USR ISA pnp 56k voice. there were isapnp statements in boot.msg. No "detected" modems in Yast and no isapnp.conf in /etc. Thought I'd try pnpdump -c /etc/isapnp.conf then isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf. The second modem was PCI. Didn't see anything anywhere for that one. The third was a 3com ISA that also didn't show up anywhere or in isapnp..... B-) On Thursday 03 June 2004 03:57 pm, Donn L Washburn wrote:
