Now this is somehow strange, I may be overlook a detail, so please point me to what I have missed here: My IPs in my PN originally looked all like 192.168.17.xx. Due to some reason I wanted to convert them to 10.0.0.xx, but after I did I could no more connect, neiter even ping between the PCs, even though I restarted them. So is there a thing that I have overseen? -- *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨¨*¤ =Oliver@home= *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨*¤ I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/Olli/olli.html I I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/friends.html I I http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VGAP-93 I I http://home.t-online.de/home/spacecraft.portal I

How did you convert them? Make sure that the routing tables still look sane (check by typing 'route'). I'm assuming you pinged them using their IP address. Hi Chris, well in now wonder myself: i have (acc to route) the same route as before, which was 192.168.17.0. i suppose i should change routing then? where exactly? thanks for bringing up this SIMPLE idea... (should set routing to like 10.0.0.0 instead of 192.168.17.0 right) tnx! -- *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨¨*¤ =Oliver@home= *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨*¤ I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/Olli/olli.html I I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/friends.html I I http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VGAP-93 I I http://home.t-online.de/home/spacecraft.portal I

You can do it manually with the route command ('man route'). I think the route gets set on bootup from information in the file /etc/route.conf, so for a longer-term solution I would edit this file.
