You will have to reinstall vmware --- it's networking modules are tied to the kernel. You shouldn't have to delete any of your current settings/disk files though. Good luck!
Reinstall from the Suse CD#s or from their site ? thanks dids

In case you did not work it out already, you just run vmware-config.pl as root and follow the prompts. Geoff _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

Ive done this and it doesnt work. I still get this after running vmware-config.pl Starting VMware services: Virtual machine monitor done Virtual ethernet failed Bridged networking on /dev/vmnet0 failed It was all working fine until I upgraded to 2.4.3 :(
In the end. I downloaded the latest from vmware, uninstalled suse, followed suse support instructions. and then ran vmware-config.pl again which worked. thanks for the reassurance that it would work dids
