How to make 10.1 non-OSS i386 ISO from biarch?
I would like to halve the size of the biarch ISO because I need only the i386 packages and already have only the i386 CD-set. I wanted to file this as a bug during the RC cycle but never got around to it. Even now if it is possible I would like to ask the developers to do it. Till then, please tell me how I can do this myself. Alternatively, I would like to know how to extract the files and add it to a SUSE DVD I make using Houghi's script. As root 'mount -o loop file.iso /mnt' Then as user copy the rpm files you like to another directory. I use /usr/src/package/RPMS/* Next `makeSUSEdvd -a /usr/src/package/RPMS/` and you have the DVD. What you can do if you have the first CD is just do the makeSUSEdvd -a on CD1 and see that all other packages are in /usr/src/package/RPMS/* Either by download, by compiling yourself. the 6 CD's still leave plenty of room for extra RPM's. The next version of makeSUSdvd withh have the ability to much easier make your own iso. It will happen in three steps. 1) makeSUSEdvd -i (-a ...) to just make an installation source 2) edit whatever you want inside that directory. 3) makeSUSEdvd -C Continue the making of the iso. Much easier to make your own 1-CD or persanolized DVD. Step 2 needs documentation and step 3 needs implementation. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit.
