OpenOffice 2.04 64 bit.
I've noticed that the 64 bit version of OpenOffice 2.04 is available at http://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/projects. Is this package suitable for use? How does it compare with the 32 bit version WRT completeness, stability etc.

I haven't had any problems with it, I've been using the 64 bit builds for a while, and I haven't seen any crashes Having said that, it hasn't been released officially, so it's still considered experimental, so it's probably not a good idea to use it in a serious environment

I had previously tried the 2.03 version, but "Help" wasn't available.

OK, that may be, I've never used 'help', but it doesn't really sound like a 64 bit issue
When I try to install, I get some dependency errors. linux:/home/jknott/download # rpm -i OpenOffice_org-2.0.4-1.1.x86_64.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libgstinterfaces-0.10.so.0()(64bit) is needed by OpenOffice_org-2.0.4-1.1.x86_64 libgstreamer-0.10.so.0()(64bit) is needed by OpenOffice_org-2.0.4-1.1.x86_64

Yeah..I have seen some softwares don't really have the help files just to strip down the file-size. (That is usually done to help dial-up users!). I have seen Nero doing such things already. So I don't think its a big issue. Anything you need to find about OpenOffice.org can you found at the following link: http://support.openoffice.org/index.html --

It only happened in the 64 bit version. The 32 bit version was fine.
