[opensuse] Automatic Update on 11.2?
G' day all, Wonder if packagekit on 11.2 has been replaced by other app. and how to set it up to get automatic updates. I asking this, since I'm not noticing any update process running so far. Thanks. Regards, -- opensuse 11.2 - Linux 2.6.31.5-0.1-default x86_64 AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology MK-36 - GeForce Go 6150 Gnome 2.28

Hi Marcus! My question was another: What is the automatic update manager on 11.2, if any and how to set it up? Cheers, Marco -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Marcus!
My question was another:

KDE and GNOME both have ui applets for this and they should trigger on updates. They both use the PackageKit backend, which uses libzypp. You can of course also use the YAST2 Online Update module. Fine Marcus! Now it sounds more clear, though I remember that on 11.1 Gnome, the PackageKit daemon started alone: I never activated any applets.
